AUSIB plays a vital cog in Top level meeting with US Medical Delegation

Dinner meet organized by the Management of Bharati Vidyapeeth, Pune to discuss potential medical opportunities with the delegates

AUSIB continues to create opportunities for Medical schools and Universities in India. Bharati Vidyapeeth University, Pune hosted a well-laid out dinner meeting to discuss the proposition of collaborating with the Global Health Program initiated by the Uniformed Services University, USA backed by the Department of Defense. AUSIB acknowledges the development as a ground-breaking event in the history of Indo-US medical ties.
The dinner meeting was hosted by Dr. Vivek Saoji, Principal, Bharati Vidyapeeth University, Pune. It was graced by illustrious academicians and medical dignitaries. Dr. Karandikar, Director, Bharati Vidyapeeth; Prof. Dr. Shivajirao Kadam, Vice Chancellor, Bharati Vidyapeeth; Prof. UB Bhoite, Executive Director and Dr. SK Lalwani, Vice Principal were also present to deliver impetus to the whole meeting.
The event comes loaded with opportunities that can pave way for upcoming medical research centers and Community service agencies to develop the level of sanitation, vaccination and infrastructure in developing nations. AUSIB's initiative to bring the Medical team from US to India seems to be fruitful as DY Patil University in Navi Mumbai too showed deep interest in acquiring guidance from the delegation. The delegates visited the prestigious Armed Forces Medical College to discuss the policy of clinical rotation and training programs that would benefit doctors from India and USA to handle cases related to Tropical diseases and come with top-class health services.
The US Medical Delegation is led by Dr. Rahul Jindal and comprises of top medical professionals. The delegation beings in years of rich experience in the field of uniformed medical assistance and military and humanitarian health programs spread all over the world. The prime objectives of the medical delegation visiting India are as follows:

  • Develop advanced tools to strengthen Public health facilities in India.
  • Target communities where tropical diseases occur and prevent it from penetrating deeper into the general population.
  • Create personalized tools and system to track all the cases of Tropical diseases.
  • Build models to ensure Health security and sustain health stability .
  • Collaborate with Medical colleges and empanel student-exchange programs.
  • Set up Tropical Diseases Research Centre in Pune region.
  • Strengthen data collection among Medical professionals for better study and case reporting.


AUSIB ensured that the discussions were summarized and covered with deep insight from each member of the delegate. The vital feature of the meeting was to build strong medical bond to further explore the idea of Global Health Program that can be developed in cohesive relationship with the Medical Universities in India.
