AUSIB and the Education Sector: AUSIB has been at the forefront of the education sector and involved in enhancing dialogue in both countries to create opportunities for building higher quality education. AUSIB believes that building global partnerships between international universities will help solve the challenges that crosses borders; will unlock and harness knowledge platforms; and will build cultural and political understanding to generate new opportunities for students and institutes. Through its involvement in the education sector over the past several years, AUSIB has built relationships and successfully engaged legislators and policy makers, universities, and the private sector in dialogue to create the networks and relationships needed to bring about forward movement and concrete action in the education sector.
Overview and Agenda
The Alliance for US India Business (AUSIB) is organizing a US Education Delegation to India, starting from February 2013. The delegation will consist of 15-20 delegates from the Universities / Colleges of United States of America. The U.S. University representatives include Deans, Presidents, Vice-Presidents, International Provosts, Department Heads and senior faculty members among others. The U.S. delegates will discuss the different opportunities available in the fields of Medicine, Pharmacy, Engineering, Business, Hotel Management, Energy and Agriculture.
AUSIB aims to provide a platform for Indian Colleges/Universities to interact and establish long term relationships with the visiting U.S. universities.
The Delegation will visit Universities in the states of Maharashtra, Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh and New Delhi where, in association with AUSIB, a range of Campus visits, networking sessions and one-to-one meetings have been arranged. The Delegation is travelling with an agenda that includes:

Educational collaboration with Indian Universities /Institutes to facilitate student and faculty exchange programs, Joint Research Activities, setting up of Incubation Centers, starting Online / Vocational courses, etc. |

The U.S. Universities / Institutes will send some of its senior faculty as guest lecturers at Indian Institutes. |

Target Audience
The U.S. Delegation is interested in interacting with the decision makers and senior faculty at the Indian Institutes. During their campus visits, the delegates will also interact with the department heads, faculties and students.
