The Aligarh Muslim University has collaborated with Ohio and Bristol University to focus on cancer research, X-ray nano-technology and wireless technologies. It will exchange and also conduct training programmes in the field of stem cell research and higher education in Physics under this tri-lateral collaboration.
According to the project, it include an exchange programme in which six scientists from Bristol and Ohio would conduct especially designed courses and research in X-ray nano-technology and wireless technologies at AMU. Besides this, a training programme for post-graduate and post-doctoral fellows will also be conducted at AMU.
On this occasion, the Chairman, Department of Physics, AMU- Prof Wasi Haider said that the funds for the project will be given by different funding agencies in US, UK and the Department of Science and Technology, India. He said that programme would continue beyond its two years tenure with institutional support and research grants to individual scientists.
