Premier B-school, Indian Institute of Management-Trichy has announced to set up a satellite centre in Ekkattuthangal in Chennai.
Talking to media, Dean G Sethu said, “With most of the industry players in Chennai we had many people, including students, asking us about the possibility of a centre here.” The institute will also use the Chennai centre to offer short-term executive education programmes.
Indian Institute of Management Tiruchirappalli (IIMT or IIM-Trichy) is one of the seven Indian Institutes of Management the government is setting up during the Eleventh Five-Year Plan. Inaugurated on January 4, 2011, it is the eleventh Indian Institute of Management in the country, and it is mentored by IIM Bangalore.
