Kannappan Palaniappan of the University of Missouri and B.L. Ramakrishna of Arizona State University were among the 2013-2014 Jefferson Science Fellows selected in February who will begin their one-year assignments here in mid-August.
The 2013-2014 Jefferson Science Fellows comprise the ninth class of Fellows selected since the program was established in 2003 as an initiative of the Office of the Science and Technology Adviser to the U.S. Secretary of State.
The Jefferson Science Fellows Program is designed to further build capacity for science, technology and engineering expertise within the U.S. Department of State and U.S. Agency for International Development.
