Global Initiative of Academic Networks approved by the Indian HRD Ministry

The Indian cabinet has cleared the Global Initiative of Academic Networks (GIAN) in Higher Education. The deal is a milestone deal that carries a joint declaration between the HRD portfolio and the National Science Foundation (NSF), USA. The program is a maiden venture in the sector of higher education between the two countries. With an aim to tap talented scientists and research scholars, the program is set to engage budding entrepreneurs who are willing to make a mark in the Indian education sector.
GIAN will definitely be a stepping stone to build a consolidated partnership in the area of Higher education. This is set to revolutionize the nation’s existing educational structure and push for highly advanced reforms to improve the technological capabilities in coming days. |
