The All India Shri Shivaji Memorial Society (AISSMS) will be organizing a two day ‘Indo–US Education Colloquium 2013’ on February 5-6, 2013, in collaboration with Alliance for US India Business (AUSIB). Experts from Science and Technology will be invited to share their skills and experiences for continuous improvement in quality to develop its institutions as centres of excellence.
The initiative aims to strengthen collaborative activities and build partnerships between American and Indian institutions for higher education in order to encourage mutual understanding, facilitate educational reforms and engage the civil society through mutual cooperation, so as to lead towards an economic development. The Colloquium is scheduled to be held in Pune.
The Indo-US Education Colloquium will see a high profile delegation comprising about 35 renowned academicians, corporate leaders and policy makers from USA. Also in attendance will be Vice Chancellors of noted Universities, policy makers and corporate bigwigs from India.
The two day colloquium will deliberate on issues such as knowledge exchange activities which may include curriculum design, research collaboration, domain specific exchanges, seminars, skill upgradation and avenues for professional scholarships and learning. It is expected to facilitate an enduring relationship between the partner institutions and the two countries.
About Shri Shivaji Memorial Society: All India Shri Shivaji Memorial Society (AISSMS) was established in 1917 by late Rajarshi Shrimant Shri Shahu Chhatrapati Maharaj of Kolhapur, to promote the noble cause of education.
